Cristina Lynn is making her mark with a style of modern, uplifting country that blends influences from Patsy Cline to John Fogarty.  Rich emotion is evident in every song, and Cristina uses her voice to paint vibrant pictures of everyday life and shared experiences.  Lynn’s in control and loving it, and she shows it on her sophomore CD, From All Sides.

With her new CD, Cristina is not only sharing her passion for music — she’s also showcasing her versatility.  “I really enjoy a wide range of styles – classic country, ‘80s rock, R&B – as long as it’s good music,” Cristina says from her home in Madison, Alabama.  “I wanted to make a CD that combines elements from different genres, yet still remains true to country music.  In the end it’s all about the story.”  Acting as Executive Producer, Cristina worked with David Vest to select songs that both stand on their own and serve to highlight her powerful vocals.  Drawing from her own catalog of songs, current Nashville writers, and new takes on classic material, From All Sides is no one-trick pony.  From the modern, up-tempo sounds of “No Regrets”, to her bluesy interpretation of “The Midnight Special”, Cristina delivers a CD that defies you not to discover a new favorite song.

This is not your typical, “I always knew I wanted to do this”, type of story.  Cristina has juggled corporate life and motherhood, bringing a depth of life experience that infuses her music and powers her songs.  No industry cookie-cutter girl here!  Instead you get honest emotion in her words, passion in her performances, and empathy in her eyes.

Although she’s taken the path less traveled, music, or more specifically singing, has always been a part of this artist’s life.  From a childhood spent singing a capella gospel songs every Sunday morning to participation in barbershop-style quartets and choirs, Cristina was performing long before she made the decision to be a performer.  Once she decided to pursue her passion full-time she jumped in with both feet, teaching herself to play the guitar and fronting for a classic rock band to gain experience.  As she worked with various musicians and began her journey as a songwriter, Cristina developed an appreciation for the artists and writers who have influenced her own style: Hank Williams, John Prine, and Allison Krauss to name a few.  The past couple of years Cristina has performed extensively across the Tennessee Valley honing her skills and developing a loyal following.  Following the release of From All Sides she is now actively working to expand her audience through her CD, live performances, and media outlets such as radio and the Internet.
